Personal Development at Michaela Sixth Form

Michaela offers a unique learning environment which will propel students to the best universities (including the Russell Group, including Oxbridge, Harvard, Yale, Stanford and MIT). Michaela will be different to many other selective sixth forms in London in that the majority of independent study will often take place off-site. While on the premises, students will be in lessons. In their free periods, they will undertake directed university preparation activities.

Michaela Sixth Form students will be expected to lead the school in similar ways to staff. Like teachers, they will move quietly and independently to their lessons. Behaviour and student conduct must always remain in-keeping with a sixth form of the highest academic standards.

Students will have lunch off-site or in their own café in the brand new Sixth Form Common Room, which is currently being developed. The Common Room will have a café that will sell panini, cakes, baguettes and coffee. One side of the Common Room will be equipped for private use by the sixth formers. The other side will have sofas and tables for quiet study. There will be a section of the library dedicated to further reading in all A-level subjects, university prospectuses for Russell Group, Ivy league and other prestigious universities, as well as a range of general interest texts.

At Michaela we expect the staff and students to dress in a professional manner. The dress code for the sixth form is business wear.

  • Smart trousers or skirt

  • A suit jacket or blazer
  • Smart shoes
  • Boys must wear professional ties
